2nd Annual Sportsman’s Night Raffle

On April 20, 2024, Dewey Fire Company will host our 2nd Annual Sportsman’s Night Raffle. This is an opportunity to support your local fire company while also winning potentially dozens of guns and other prizes!

We will be making some small adjustments to the event from the first event, including even more guns available to win!

Dinner, beer, and soft drinks are included with your raffle ticket purchase (one entry to the event per ticket).

The funds raised will directly support emergency operations in Hellertown and our surrounding communities. Come out, have a great night, win some guns, and most of all, support your Dewey Fire Company!

Tickets are $20 each, or 3 for $50, and can be purchased either in person from a Dewey Fire Company member, at participating local businesses, or online at this RallyUp page.

We thank you for your support!

2019 Overview

2019 was very busy for our firefighters. Below are some statistics for the year:

A total of 349 calls that included:
65 Automatic Alarms
24 Odor/Smoke/CO Investigations
34 Dwelling/Structure Fires
120 Motor Vehicle Accidents
26 Vehicle Fires
15 EMS Assists
19 Brush Fires

Our members spent 2,400 hours training throughout the year and 1,160 hours responding to calls. These numbers do not include the various Saucon Valley Sporting events, Easter Bunny escort, Community Day, National Night Out, The Annual Carnival, Fire Prevention programs, Spirit Parade, Santa Run, Light-Up Night and Monthly Company Meetings and other duties around the station.

Thank you to all of our members for their time and dedication and of course to their families for their support!

If you are interested in becoming a part of the Dewey Family, stop down and join – we would love to have you! As you can see, there are many more things that you can help out with if you prefer not to respond to emergency calls.

Honorary Fire Cadet Program is Open!

Dewey Fire Co. 1 is proud to announce the Honorary Fire Cadet program!  Residents of Hellertown Borough ages 8-12 can apply to become a Dewey Fire Co. 1 honorary firefighter.  Duties will include riding in the fire trucks for parades, getting sized for your own personal bunker gear, and representing Dewey Fire Co. 1 with pride.  To be considered for the position, please fill out the Dewey Honorary Cadet Application and follow all instructions.  We encourage parents to help fill out the application.

If you have any questions, please message our Facebook page or call the Fire Office at 610-838-0161 and leave a message.
